Live the truly unique experience of a romantic dinner for two in a restaurant that literally only has room for two! Solo per Duo (Just for Two) is the smallest restaurant in the world! Here, you’ll find just one table – with two seats, of course! As for the food, it is fresh and seasonal. Be sure to book in advance as space is…limited.

Where? Via Villa di Orazio, 2, 02040 Vacone RI

The Dying City of Lazio

The old hill town of Civita Bagnoregio is easily located in Nothern Lazio. It’s just 1.5 hours from Rome, for example. The Etruscans founded this medieval town 2,500 years ago! As can be seen, it’s perched on the very top of a hill, surrounded by a canyon. That’s where the trouble is. Soon this hill will erode into nothingness and the town will cease to exist! To access this unique town you’ll need to cross a 300m bridge. Entrance to the village is between €3-5.

Where? Civita di Bagnoregio, 01022, Viterbo

Stroll past the numerous and mysterious sculptures at the Bomarzo Monster Park for an undoubtedly otherworldly experience. Amongst these eerie figures, you’ll find a war elephant, a monstrous fish head, a giant tearing another giant in half, and a house that tilts to disorientate the viewer!

Dinner with an Absurd Twist

Cencio La Parolaccia in Rome will offer you a dinner service you’ll never forget. Why? This restaurant presently offers traditional Roman cuisine, seasoned with dirty gestures and swear words! You’ll be served and insulted, made the butt of particularly snide comments and teased. Perhaps its a better idea to try this place out with a group of friends as opposed to your fiancee or in-laws!

Where? Vicolo de’ Cinque, 3, 00153 Roma RM

Here’s another attraction in Rome we’re sure you haven’t heard of! The Casina delle Civette (Owl House) on the grounds of the Villa Torlonia is aptly named given its woodland-esque surroundings. Once the home of Prince Alessandro Torlonia the Younger, it features an enchanting melange of architecture. As a result, you’ll feel like you’re in a fairytale!

Where? Via Nomentana, 70, 00161 Roma RM.
