In fact, not by chance did writer Stendhal say about San Carlo Theatre: “it dazzles the eyes, it enraptures the soul”. The oldest opera house in Europe, Teatro San Carlo has a busy calendar of plays, opera, dance and also concerts. The theatre sits right next to Napoli’s main historical attractions and it’s also close to the sea.
